TPI and 4L80E combo- anyone run this?

i have a 95 silverado pickup with tbi and 4l80e trannie. i'd like to swap over to tpi for some more torque and a little coolness factor . will i have to get the stand alone 4l80e trannie harness or will an ecm from a tpi/700r combo be able to manage the trannie? thanks,

You will need a stand alone controller for the 4l80e though. Keep in mind that TPI will not flow well above 4800 RPM on a stock 350, with higher performance machines being worse. You'll need to upgrade the intake / injectors / programming for a higher performance setup

not worried about the higher rpms on this application. its my daily driver. everything i've read about tpi says its awesome on torque, so that why i want to do it. i have a mild truck cam already and want to put some slightly better heads on too. thanks for the input,

I see no reference to TPI in that thread, but as always, some searching around there may find more data for you.
