I thought maybe a picture of my TPI test bench would be something cool to share. I simplified a 7727 ECM wire harness from a Vette, only 3 wires to connect (battery -), (battery +), and Ignition switch ( ON / Start). I have a few solder / splice connections. The trunk length is 34" (measured from distributor to ECM)

holy batteries Batman! What is that like 13-14 1V batteries? Why?

Each battery is 12 Volt 5 amp / hour. The batteries are seal lead acid, so I can mount the batteries upside down if I want. I have 15 batteries for a total of 75 amp / hours. With the injectors on, fuel pump on, and everything else on, I need to make sure I don't blow a fuse. In God I Trust ... everything else I MEASURE.:)

Very cool

I have a 727 puter I am going to use on my E-brock TBI - multiport conversion I've had lying around for @ 5 years now

I did pay off my 2nd mortgage friday, so I'm 400$$ a month closer....:D:D:D:D:bow::bow::bow::haha::haha::haha:

Awesome test rig! Thats the best way to test componets and mock up a setup. Way cool!

Your having way to much fun with this! :D

So what do you do to simulate a running engine? Turn the distributor with a drill? Have to be carful where fuel goes that it does not meet spark... :eek1:

Yes, I use a drill to turn the distributor. I have a spark plug / wire on the coil to check for spark, so I don't need a spark plug / wire on all the distributor cap terminals. I use Noid Lights on the injector connectors. I use my AutoXray to read the sensors. I use a hand vacuum pump on the MAP sensor, and use my heat gun to warm up the CTS and MAT. I don't use fuel on the test bench.:laugh:

Hey Dave, which computer are you using in that picture?

-Ray:confused:

I thought it looked familiar. I recall "talking" with you about my edelbrock multi point unit and 727 ecm some time back.

We just moved this month, to a place with a garage!! woo hoo!!!! This gives me a chance to start putting stuff together as it's all dug out now.

Btw, thanks!

I've used the '7727 with the Edelbrock system. The '7727 is a HUGE improvement over the '7747 most Edelbrock System owners used.:D
