I got offered a complete 1986 harness and injection for $200. I would need a fuel pump, air cleaner and related parts. I would be putting this on the K10's 383. Am I stupid to think after a tune I could gain a little mpg? Its bad right now but my foot is heavy. I know it is rpm limited but I don't turn it more than 5k now and the cam is super small.

dude for 200 thats cheap! get a fuel tank from an 87, put the tpi pump in and wire and line it from there! As for gas milage i dont know what you would see improvement wise.

Is 1986 a MAF or a MAP system? Map is way easier...

MAF but I think it will fit fine.

For $200.00 it's a good deal but MAF sensors don't like vibration or dirt and a wheeler is subjecting it to both. MAF sensors aren't cheap to replace either and it is a little harder to package the air intake system using a MAF sensor.
