OK, I followed the directions exactly to set the IAC. When I checked the TPS, the voltage was around .65 volt. Supposed to be between .45 and .55 with.50 being ideal. Lowest I could get was .55 volts. That's on the upper end. The engine idles better now. My question is...is the TPS defective or is this common?

The TPS is non adjustable on our rigs HOWEVER you can bend the little arm either way to change the reading.

You would need a good DVOM in order to check for any glitches through the travel of the TPS, as long as there are no glitches and the voltage is close to what it should be at both ends of the travel then the TPS is good.

All I will say is if I rotated it counter clockwise it would read 0.55 volt, and when rotated clockwise it would read 0.95 volt. I have the oval weather pack plug.

I have no experience with that style but maybe the mounting holes are slotted or just large enough that it allows some movement in which case would give you that small amount of "adjustment".
