been having a high idle issue and tps is the only thing that seems off.on the one wire i get 5.04 and the other is .51 with no throttle and up to 4.17 at wot.steady increase no jumps or anything.is the wot voltage to low or is it ok?

I believe that is ok.

Nothing that should affect high idle. IIRC .51 is right around "ideal" for idle TPS voltage.

How high is the idle? Is it like it never stops trying to "warm up" or is it higher than that?

Do you have a scantool that you can watch this stuff and/or datalog? ALDL cable/laptop?

Checked good for vacuum leaks?

no scanner and no vac leaks. went to the yard this morning and got a used tbi unit.got it cleaned and new gaskets put in and it is running better now.it seemed like the butterflies on the old one were a bit loose. with the new one they are much tighter.

I was going to say it sounds like the throttle shaft bores are wore out and need to be bushed to regain proper throttle shaft support and keep the throttle blades from hanging up in the bore(s).
