Tracker Transfer Case??

Can anyone help with info about a an 89 Geo Tracker ( a friends). They cannot get the 4 wheel drive to engage, and front driveshaft will not turn. Someone put in a clutch about 4K miles ago. He found a wiring harness un-plugged and plugged it up so that now the 4 wheel light comes on at least. Are there vaccum lines on that transfer case? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Pull the shifter, sounds like the forks got missaligned.
