tracking down a Vin number, help found please delete

I bought a jeep, and after sanding and cleaning , I find the vin tag on the tub. well it does not match the title I got. . anyone have the power to track the vin number for me or tell me whts the best way to ?

what year is the jeep and is/was it a military vehicle?

the title says its a 76, but the vin on the tub isnt even close to the number on the title.
The body style is definatly a cj5, the front is a dana 30 rear is a amc20 . the dash, style, fuse box style is all in the 70s. So, untill I trace the vin number on the firewall, I have no idea what year it is.
