tractor tires

In the mud, 57s will last with a Rockwell.

they still break I've done it 3 snapped axles and 2 broken carriers

I grew up in NE Minnesota we built a 71 crew cab dodge on rocks with 57" tires and a built 413

it was pretty lame for anything but big open mudpits which in my opinion is pretty boring

things will always break.

And living in MI... I know what you mean about the bogs. But, build ya gotta build a truck for what its going to be used for. I would have no use here in MI for a rock buggy. Bogger it is!

This is one of the local guys "Burban on the Rocks"

Don't know the owner of the white k5, but it's a sick rig.

not to come off rude or crappy but i was not impressed by the burb at all, seems he is lacking the motor or the big tires are doing him more good than bad "weight"

To me if you dont have the power or torque to really spin them, they are to big for your rig. The blazer did not really flip my skirt either, maybe im missing the point but i think of tires spinning and power when I think of a mud truck.

I'm actually happy that they are underpowered

It would be dangerous if most of these trucks had enough motor, I've never seen so much booty fab

It was really only that first video where he wasnt spinning them. And, I rack that up to a light foot. In the other videos he was spinning them. Yeah, it does look like he could use a little more power, but who couldnt.

I liked both trucks... a lot.

Could you explain to me what in these videos gives you the impression of booty fab?

Exactly, to each there own. There's nothing booty fab about these trucks. These are well built rigs. The Burb has alot more power on tap, he just doesn't push it since he broke both axles a while back. He's running 2inch inners now, but that's the thing with tractors, you don't have to floor it everytime.

These are both, trail machines that ocassionaly go to mud bogs. Yes we do have spots deep enough to burry those rigs. BTW, for all the nay sayers, that's a 12k milemarker on the sub. Taken a beating but keeps on going.

1tons cant handle a 57" tire let alone a 57" tractor tire. Its just pointless. You need built rockwells and a built ass motor to spin them and even then as said your just bombing through a bunch of ****in mud over and over again. fun....?

I wouldnt put bigger than 38's on a stock 1 ton. Or 42's with shafts. 57's are quite plainly out of the question.

id like to know thus too, i never implied the trucks were bootyfull, just that it seemed they needed more grunt to be fun.

while alot of people bash mud trucks, I swear to god I sure with some built trucks and some deep goo it would make for the time of our lives:D One day ill play sick while at disney world and hitch a ride

I like the mud , but running back and forth in the same hole in a farm field is boring to me . I'd much rather do a muddy trail mixed with big rocks and big mudholes

theres no way I'd ever build a truck with big tractor tires again to damn heavy

I think it comes down to what you have locally to play in. Where I am... there are no rocks... there are no trails, etc. All we have to play in within a few hours is mud or fire roads (two tracks BORING). There are sand dunes that are 3.5-4 hours away, but unless you have a purpose built rig, its only fun a time or two a year.

Mud... I have to love it.

Same here, you ride in what you've got near by. I'm lucky in that, less than a mile away, i have a ~1000 acre area spot (where the pic of the Blazer and Sub was taken). That pic was taken during the dry season, when you can drive through MOST of the place. I say most, cuz there are still holes that'll swallow any rig. During the wet season, we actually chalenge each other to make it from one side to the other.

I haven't been to one yet, but i'm sure that I would also get bored of the mud bog thing after a couple of hours. Really how many times can you push into the same hole...:doah:.. i'm talking about mudding pervs. But if that's what you got near by then that's what you do.

It would be like me building a rock buggy in Miami. The closest spot with hill climbs is 6+ hours away. Hell it takes 7+ hours just to get out of Florida.

Ever watch the Trucks Gone Wild videos?

Thats what its all about. Not just put putting through A mud hole.

here you go... after this guy in the rock'd tractor'd Toyota blew his motor, the green 1000+ horsepower Chevy pulled him and a anchor/tractor tire around the track just for the hell of it.
