The hardest part is the getting vent window screws out. It makes taking the window out easy, but I've done it without removing the vent. Just take the two bolts for the rear track out, remove the 4 bolts for the regulator. Take the window out, or tie it in the up position. Remove the power regulator and slide in the manual. Just keep the power, and switches hooked up till it is all out of the door.
It always amazed me, how many people tore trucks to the bare frame, but never messed with the guts of a door. I guess I've just had lots of door problems. My freind ripped apart about 100 Chevys, but calls me to work on the door windows and handles.
If your doors are in good condition, I would just switch regulators. I go through N.J. alot so If you need help.
