Current trailer is a 20+5 gooseneck deck over. Has a 9000lbs. capacity after the weight of the trailer is taken off the 14,000lbs. axles.

Trading in for this,

Actually a tick more capacity as the trailer itself is lighter. Big difference is how much lower the blazer will be. Should make a huge difference in tow ability.

Have to build a drive over fender or two. Also keeping my winch that is on the deck over for this one. Have to see how much higher the blazer is than the crew cab. Friend of mine has a wing on the front of his gooseneck and said it made a world of difference. Just something that kicks the air up over the towed vehicle.

Is that a 14K trailer then?
What is the deck length on this one? I wish I would have gotten a 22 instead of 20....hauling a FS truck hangs the box off the back of the trailer on mine.

Correction....mine is 16+2-1/2

This is a 18+2. It is a 14k trailer.

It'll be full with the blazer on board but that's about just right IMO. For the long hauls with the blazer I want just enough trailer as far as length goes. Little extra capacity in the weight department though. Don't like to load them to the cap. if I can help it. This one should be just right.

Yours is a bumper pull correct Dave?

correct...mine is 16+2-1/2....another 2 ft would be nice for bigger trucks.
and its a 12K., 8500lb payload.

Dude your gonna like that so much more, getting everything out of the wind is huge

I think that is pretty much what I would buy very nice

Thanks Dave. I really like it. Lovin' the tool box under the gooseneck. Bigger than my last trailer. A lot deeper and has a nice lockable hand latch.

Now I have to decide if I want to make a removable set of fenders or a set of beefy drive over fenders.

So far, i'm leaning towards the removable fender. Seems to me some cars, once you get them on the trailer, opening doors is a pain. Also, other things that you might want to haul that are lifted on with a fork lift, it'd be nice if the fenders weren't there.

At some point i'll get the winch mounted on the deck down low.

I vote drive over. Removing them gets to be such a pain. My trailer is setup with studs and nuts (3 per fender) and I got tired of it real quick. I cut up some 2x8's and screwed them together and then to the deck just inside the fenders so I can drive over them now. I'll do something permanent eventually but for now it works.

I had to load my Burb on a friends trailer last weekend. I crushed the fenders. We had to use a jack handle and a 4x4 wedge to bend it off the tires.

Drive over fenders!

Last night we set them up so they could be removed faster. Turned the bolts that hold them in to large "t" handles and welded the nut to the bottom side. No tools required to remove them now.
