TRADING MY "SKILLS" FOR A 6.5TD K5

Do you really need the 6.5 blazer?

You have a wheeler/ tow rig/ daily/ wife's vehicle.

It is a nice looking blazer. But, I would have hard time trading for a vehicle I don't need.
I would do it for cash and finish off my own builds instead of taking on new stuff.

That said, I understand the addiction. I just bought a 1960 Studebaker 3,000 miles away.... That I didn't really need either.

Pot, meet kettle. Kettle, meet pot.

Greg, I don't know how much your time is worth, but if you can double your estimated hours and still be happy with the payoff, I say go for it.

We do need some much better pictures so we can do some real armchair quarterbacking here. I know you've wanted a diesel K5 for a while, but that doesn't mean that this is THE one for you.

I'm also curious about turbines and A/C setup.

@GWeakland620 do you have pics of the engine on the 6.5 blazer? Does it have factory style 6.5 turbo setup? What about a/c? Thanks
No, it's has vintage air. I don't have any pics currently. Going to be a couple weeks before I get back over there to look it over again.

Yeah, a diesel k5 as a Cummins or duramax swapped one..

Why anyone would want one of the pile of shit 6.2/6.5s is mind boggling to me.:rotfl:

Maybe you still don't get this. The fact that absolutely nobody likes this engine is the one and only thing going for it. That is the whole point. :deal:

Troll.

:haha:

That's fine, you guys take them. Leaves more small and big blocks for me, to start in the winter without the fire department coming, Without waiting 10 minutes to go anywhere after you get in, and to be able to idle your engine and hear your self think.

Yep. Everyone and his mom has a small block. I just don't see the point in collecting boring vehicles.

Do it for the experience . Back in 1993 I got paid 10 hour to build a chopped 46 Chevy delivery spent a ton of hours on it but turned me to build a 1940 Chevy for me with the love for older cars and every day learning more
