Trail Selection

Okay, this will be my first blazer bash and I am not sure on what trail to run on Saturday. I don't want to hold anybody up or piss anyone off, I have wanted to give Pritchett a go. So the question is: are you guys going to want a newbie to blazer bash along on the hardcore stuff? I have a capable rig; efi smallblock, 1 tons with the usual 5:13's, etc. and a decent driver behind the wheel with a good spotter/co-pilot.

So I guess I'm asking if I can run with the big dogs? lol

Thanks,

Tommy

If I can afford it ( or talk the wifey into it ) I may have locker two by then .

And theres a little voice inside me telling me to bring my trail rig 35's ( and spare ) and bolt them on in camp .

I need direction :thumb:

Ahem, so I get to keep the signup sheet then... :doah:  ;) :D

Here we go, for SheetMetalGang purposes only, I will update as I get more info...

I assume Jeff and Max are going extreme...

Sheetmetal gang plus a 2.5 year old. Baby seat strapped into special seat integrated into cage.

2 lockers, 6" lift, 37" tires. 12k winch, lotsa recovery gear etc....

Sounds to me like you should be okay. Especially if you take care of your junk and haven't been bubble-gum and bailing wire everything.

Nope just a little duck tape here and there, keeps my fuel lines from leaking to bad. Not really, my rig just isn't as purty as everyone elses.:wink1:

Oh and JMS you can count me for sheetmetal on Friday, hopefully. '77 Jimmy, 4" lift, 2 lockers, and 38's.

jms, just an update,im running 2 lockers now.still no winch though.

Maybe a good alternate would be Rusty Nail?

Rusty Nail except for maybe 1 or 2 spots really isn't that hard, not to mention you could die if you went over the edge, which from a liabilty standpoint really scares me, maybe we should pick something else.

I can understand that. I don't know of any other trails that are difficult. What do you suggest Steve?

Nice! Bet you won't be stripping any ring gear teeth, unlike a certain someone last year!

Right-click on the picture in your gallery. Select properties. Next to "Address {URL}" select all that info, make sure you get it all because it may not all be visible. Right-click on the selection and choose copy. Now post in the forums push the button that looks like a mountain
insertimage.gif
and right-click paste the info you copied into the little window prompt.

Clear as mud?

I'm really sorry guys I haven't been on here much because of work :doah: .
I guess I better speak up before I don't have a say anymore :ignore: .
I WILL show up, come hell, high water, snow or whatever you throw at me
(remember, my truck is called "Storm Trooper" for a reason :surepal: ).
I feel bad, Michael is doing all this work for the gang and I haven't done Sha it.
Then I look and my buddy (who knows better) even puts me on the top of the list! :waytogo: :waytogo:

So? can I, can I, join all you cool guys like it says? :woot:
I will book my room soon, I promise.
With a group like the one listed above, I'd like to see us put a hurt'in on the trails and do Sat. or Sun. run of Poison Spider, spike and gold bar in one day!
Either way <----> ???? :saweet: . I'll bring the lights.
.
As for the other trails, I'm good with almost any of them. I'd like to throw a "PASS" on fins & things. It kinda bores me (sorry  ). I try to throw my $.02 in later on the other trails as we get closer.
Once again, I'd like to run Pritchet again but I'm willing to hang with the Sheetmetal gang everyday.
Just remember, if I run, it's got to be fun. I want everyone to have a good time, bring um back in one piece and NO ONE leaves with anyone behind.
A big thanks to JMS for working so hard on this one and I'll be happy to be his tail gunner (or whatever).
Let's make this the best DAM trip yet!!:thumb:

Methinks there seems to be enough interest for a Pritchett run on Sunday; might help to reduce the group size for Saturday, too...
Kind of what I was thinking also.
