Has anyone ever used C purlin to deck a trailer with?

Never seen it before. How would you plan to attach it?
The decking boards on mine are just held in with a piece of angle iron that covers the back end of the boards and is welded in place. Seems like c purlin would make for a slick surface
I can buy 8"x30' C purlin and cut it in 1/2 for this 16' trailer. my dad has a section of 6" C purlin and I can cut it and use 2 sections cross way on the front. I was thinking if I bought 3 sticks that would put 24" on each side and leave the middle open. as for attaching it, I was just going to weld it to the crossmembers. then weld a piece of angle iron across the back.
maybe it would be a little lighter than my other trailer. I could use this for my light buggy or TJ or LJ and use the heavier trailer for heavier vehicles.

I think I am going back with wood. I had bought 8 2x10x16 to deck this trailer with from home depot. they were so crooked and warped I could not get them in. however; after doing a little more research and reading it seems I may need to go to a lumber yard and get better quality lumber. this trailer had a piece of angle iron across the back to hold the lumber as well.
I already have 2 other trailers, maybe I should just sell this one as is.
With the amount of flex a trailer deck sees, those welds would fail in short time. I dont see it as a solid alternative to wood decking.

when I was doing some searching I came across this.
you know me Matt, I am the king of overage. if 1 buggy is good, 4 is better. if 1 K5 is good, 4 is better. if 1 Dodge Cummins is good, 4 is better. if 1 car hauler is good, 4 is better.
I have the trailer I had built a couple of years ago, 20' long, 102" wide with drive over fenders and 5200# axles. the first trailer I had built that is 18' long 102" wide with drive over fenders and 3500# axles. although on this one the builder put the axles in the center of the trailer. I think if I cut 2' off the back it will make it right.
then a 34' I need to sell and this one.
