mine hangs down from the hitch and it gets beat up every time i go off road. i have to rewire it anyway but i wanna know does anyone make a plug that doesn't hang down like that? if so i'll buy one.

You just have to use a hole saw to drill a hole in the back bumper (if it's the stocker) and install the trailer plug in the hole. That will get it up out of the way. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

I have the same trouble. So i bought an RV style socket (7 way) and took the truck to a muffler shop that has a plasma cutter. Had them cut a nice clean hole in the chrome bumper just to the left of the liscense plate opening. Then mounted the plug with some self tapping screws. it looks tits, and works even better. They should come this way from the factory ! If ya wanna see a pic. lemme know, i can take one tomorrow. Later. TORI

yeah take a pic of it for me sounds like i got a plan!

oh and i already have the 7 plug one it's been on there for years.

Hey muddy,

Mine came that way. They just moved the license plate all the way to the right and mounted the 7 pin plug right to the bumpe. It looks awsome and is bullet proof. The other one I've seen is tucking your exsisting back up under your bumper by the gas tank. Totally protected but just a pain to get too.
