Oh trailer info, not where/what to camp on. :o

Something rated in the 10K/18ft range minimum for towing full size.
Tandem electric brakes mandatory.

Deck-overs give a wider deck but are generally a fair amount heavier and the load is that much higher, your choice as to the lesser of the two evils.

Would it make enough difference in the tongue weight to load the 1st truck backwards?

The dually looks to have it's hands full.

You really should consider having that trailer converted to a gooseneck. It would pull so much better and distribute the weight on your truck better.

i am looking at from all angles like i was going to do a open deck but seeing 3 other people putting a tent on the wood deck trailers. looks like a go idea the cold from the ground in the winter or rain and bad groung like the stuff at the top of RC

i think i will go with a 10k to 12k 18foot wood deck and a http://www.equalizerhitch.com/ hitch
to hook to a ford diesel 7.3 ex (rated to 10000lbs but i have to beefed up moter and springs) i hope that it will me a good set up

this is a pic from 2004
the set up is mostly the same

i do have a dream setup the box from this http://www.fleetwoodcampingtrailers.com/series.aspx?id=6&sn=Scorpion
(i just look at a used one on line 15000.00 that is big scrach)
on a 22foot tag that will have 16' on the back for the truck hmm that could be like 7000.00 i bet - just a dream :o

This is the trailer I use. Only thing that I don't like is having to change the tires to load my truck. However I tow cars more often than I tow my rig so I had to compromise to be able to haul the other toys.

I put my tent on top of the trailer and tie it down to the stake pockets. Also throw the grill and all up top and live the life as long as I can.

I've finally decided on building my own.

I'm planning a 14,000 lbs. cap. gooseneck with a low deck for better COG. Wood deck I imagine. I like the idea of pitching a tent on the trailer. Teraflex axles is the game plan.

Keep the pictures comin' of what you guys are running and some of the options you would like to have.
