not too sure about this. i took the hubs apart to re-pack the bearings and check the brakes. im not sure how tight to make the nut that holds the assy together tho. when i took it off, it seemed loose. so when i put it back together, i tightened it alittle more, but now there is alittle bit of resistance when you spin the hub. i know having them too tight will make them hot and ruin it. but how tight is too tight? should there be alittle play or should there be a slight ammount of resistance?

There should not be resistance when turning the hubs. Back the nuts off just a hair at a time until you get them spinning freely. Just don't go too far as to have play in the hub when you mount the wheel and try to move it side to side.

i researched alittle on google and found that your supposed to first put the nut on tight (like 50 ftlbs), back it off, then tighten it finger tight, then back it off to the next open hole for the cotter pin to go through. i did that and it seems perfect. no play but no binding :thumb:
