Ok, I'm trying to figure out something for wiring a trailer. This is what I know:

White.....Ground
Blue.......Electric Brakes
Brown....Tail/Running lights
Black.....12 Volt Battery Charge
Yellow...Stop/Left Turn
Green....Stop/Right Turn
Orange..Auxillary

Since I do not have back up lamps on this travel trailer, what the hell is the auxillary used for?

Your auxilary is for supplying 12v accessories on or in the trailer. For example in one of my sled trailers I have loading outside lights and interior lighting. The aux. wire is the power source.

IIRC, I thought red was your aux and orange is your back up light wire, if you had back up lights on the trailer. I'd have to go look at my plug diagram to confirm.

Fortunately I never had to really wire them up . My 7 way plugged into the factory rear harness of my 83 with an adapter for stop/tail etc .

I just had to wire + and - to the controller , brake switch to controller , and run two 12 volt wires to the rear for electric brakes and charging my campers battery .

Even though your current trailer doesn't have backup lamps, you may have one in the future that does, I would just wire it as backup lamps. At least that is how I am doing mine when I finally get around to it. :wink1:
