lokking to get a trailer for k5 what gvw should i be looking for? also getting new truck 2500hd anyone towing with this and how does it do?

What motor, trans, gears body config is your HD? It should do fine regardless. I would look for a trailer of at least 7k GVW, preferably 10k if its all you are gonna haul. Once you get a trailer you will find plenty of new uses for it, so you may want to get one that seems overkill for the task.
