Just kind of got a little settled in and got the internet hooked up finally... man.. what a disaster of a move!
But the good news is that the truck made the trip... minus at least one important component - my passenger flip forward seat. I hope I can find another good one.. it's a long story how it didn't make the trip though.. but let's just say I was right not to trust my mom completely.
The chain and binders worked like a charm. The guys who drove the u-haul with the trailer and my blazer on it said that the truck was barely able to haul my truck over the mountains because it was so heavy. haha But he said that it was rock solid with the chain and binders.
We were lucky though because we had a u-haul guy come and get my truck on the trailer with his tow truck using a hydraulic fork on the back. Then he was even able to get the u-haul wheel straps on the trailer to fit even though my tires were too large for them. One of the straps he pulled around the axle instead of the wheel because it wouldn't make it.
Then he even put the chain and binders on for us and did a great job.
But my mom was so behind schedule packing things and things were so hectic some of my important items to a motorcycle I have that I wanted to put together were left behind as well as my passenger flip seat. But I guess that is a minor thing to gripe about considering most of it made the trip. It's going to be difficult for me to put my motorcycle together though missing many pieces and to find all the pieces I need.
