oh, man its too bad your not closer, I was at my local pick n pul last week and there was an 87 k-5 that someone took the trans out and left the t-case on the ground!! It's just waiting for you to pick it up!

if your tranny is the same
if your tranny is the same, you could pull the adaptor between the trans and the transfer case and put the gear driven np205 in your truck, but you would probally have to drill some holes in your frame for the crossmember, which you would need to try and get from the truck the transfer came out of and your driveshafts would probally be a different length also,a little more trouble but a stronger transfer case. when you tried to pull it and it acted locked up was your lock outs locked? even if trans or tranny is locked you should have been able to turn the hubs to unlock and your rotors turn around the axel
