Tranny and transfer case compatibility

Hey everybody. Would the tranny and the transfer case out of a 79 Chevy pickup be the same as the set in the 79 Blazer (TH350 and NP203)? And can you get the TH350 to mate up with something other than a 350? Specifically a smaller V8. Thanks for the help!

If the truck has a TH350 and a 203 then they would the the same.
The TH350 will bolt to any Chevy/GMC Small or big block with maybe the exception of a diesel, but I am not sure.

Another question on the same subject: I have a 241 in my '91', will a 208 bolt up and which of the two cases are the better one?
