My th400 tranny puked some fluid out of the dipstick tube and acted a little sluggish on the takeoff today. Anybody offer any words of wisdom?

Had it been sitting long? If the pump is worn or if it is overfilled and sits a while fluid will sometimes puke out the dipstick when you start it up. The fluid in the converter leaks back past the pump and over fills the pan.

It had been sitting for a few days. I have driven it since with no problems and it hasn't puked again. Thanks for the info.:D

It was still cold. I have driven it about 50 miles since without any further problems, shifts fine. It seems so far like an isolated incident (are there really any?)
