Well the 5 speed in my 97 truck started making noise a few days ago. Got it pulled out last night. Got it somewhat apart tonight. Pulled the rear seal and this is what i found.
The output bearing is toast. All the gears look fine. Going to order some new bearings and put it back together. i got the tranny from a buddy of mine and he had it in 3 different trucks and was not not to it.
