So this weekend I pulled my TH350/NP203 combo to replace the front seal(thanks to everyone who gave me advice last week about how to do this.)

Now that I have it down off the truck, I think it does look like the front seal has been leaking (note the weeping below the seal vs. the dry above,) but I would love for someone with more experience with these things to give their opinion.

While it's off the truck, what else should I do with it? Neither unit seems to have any operational problems, but I don't really know the history of the drivetrain so what preventitive measures should I take? (Are their more seals I should look at/gaskets/etc?)

I mangled the TV gasket thing taking the cable off, and the dipstick tube gasket looks kinda fugly, so those are on my list. What else?

Lastly, any suggestions for cleaning this off? I'm worried about getting grime into the tranny, but maybe I'll tape off the holes. Thinking brake cleaner...?

Thanks in advance.
