Well I cracked my th350 across the whole top about three inches to where it mates to my 203:confused:.
Now here is the part where I'm having trouble on what I should do. I have a th400 and 205 in the garage that I bought for a doubler project and I have found a th400-np203 setup but it aint cheap, I would need this right? because my 400 has the longer shaft. Should I buy that or just run another th350 and the np203 I have with the 205.
Im just worried about the strength of the 350:crazy:

id run the th400-203 over the th350-203 due to strength. Btw, is your front driveline to long? That usually is the main cause of cracked trannies.

If anything my driveline is a little short.

I was going to pull this airhead dude out the mud and I was in reverse. It torqued so hard I got my rear passenger tire about 2 feet off the ground.
Anyway here is the pic of the tranny.

make sure your motor mounts and tranny mounts match each other(all rubber or all poly)and are all good, and make sure you have the support rod that bolts to the side of the transfercase to the bellhousing bolts.

Thanks guys.

Is it possible to swap output shafts from on th400 to another, because the tranny that came with the 205 I bought is so nice and new!

My truck did not have that bar that holds the tranny and transfer case together I believe that started in 78'

shafts, no prob. there available and swapable.

Id find that bar, auto trannies are thin aluminum sandwich'd between cast iron and more cast iron. There the weakest link.
