I have a 80 blaser with a th350/205 combo. My x-fer case is filling up with tranny fluid. Is there a seal I need to replace and what is it called? Can i just drop the x-fer case and replace it? Also, how much does the x-fer case weigh?

Thanks,
Chris

The later 205's used ATF. Is your t-case overfull? Is your tranny low on fluid? There is a seal that could go bad.

My x-fer case is supposed to have gear oil, but starts to overfill with tranny fluid and yes my tranny runs low every week or two.

Yes there is a seal on the tranny output, and there is a seal on the tcase input.
I would check both, the tcase is about 150 lbs, I usually bench press it in place and drop it on my belly when I take it off.
A motorcycle lift is a good safe way to drop it or reinstall.
