I was cruisin along the other day when I noticed a ton of smoking bailing out the back of my rig. Obviously something was wrong. I stopped and looked to see my tranny spewing fluid from under. I headed home and just made it, as the fluid was gone, I could go no further. I probably jacked the tranny to get home.:haha:

Anyway, looking for new / used tranny now. Had a TH-350 in my 1973 Blazer. What would be the best tranny for my truck with the easiest swapping abilities (no modification preferred, or very little)? Have a small block 350 and a 203 transfer case (was thinking of puting in a 205 since I'd be down there anyway).

All input would be greatly appreciated!!

If you have a 350/203 combo, it would be hard to switch to anything else without some necessary mods. Driveshaft/adapter plate, etc.

output of trans is different/input of t/c is different/adapter is different. Also the overall length of the t/c is different I believe. Then you have to do a driveshaft swap.
Best to either replace with like components, or find a donor, and swap all that is needed for what you want.
