Tranny Guru\'s-Tranny starting to \"shudder\"? How come?

The tranny strated doing this the other day, it's a 700R4, 208 combo. It really only does it under accleration. Why? Any help would be great. -Thanks

Sounds like your lock up converter could be failing.

Or your pump might be bad and not giving it enough line pressure to engage the gear fully

I'd go for simple, and check the tranny mount first since it's cheaper...

The shudder or shimmy is very slight, and you can barley feel it. I have just recently changed the fluid and
filter so let me know what I should do. Thanks

I hate to say this but the TH700 in my S-10 did started doing that a few months before it died.

mines been doing the same thing for the past few months and its getting really annoying so im thinking that the tranny is about to go. Perfect exucse to upgrade to Caddy 500 stroker, th400 and a 205.

Your converter is officially gone...switch it out now before it really screws everything up and you have to rebuild it. Both my S-10's and my Burb did that before the trannies went.

i was at the badlands and my would rev up then "pop" into gear. well i drove back a mile to try to put it in 2hi to drive home and it wouldnt move. my TC sent metal through out the whole thing. so we towed it back. so now im puttin in a new tranny and TC.
