Not sure if this is the correct section to ask this, if not, I apologise. I am in search of the tranny section of the body harness for a 4l80e mated with L29. I just need from the large plug on the engine harness that runs back to the tranny connections. Mine got sent in with my harness when it was re worked and wasn't returned with the new harness. I have looked and looked on the internet and junkyard local but am having no luck. Can someone please point me in the right direction to locate one?

Please and thank you!!

I would be asking the person that did your rewiring what he did with it.

I sent him an email and got no response. Unfortunately he did it late last summer so it's been a minute. The harness was done by team208motorsports. It was my bad for shipping it out with the main harness

Been gone since new years eve. What section of the harness are you looking for? If the rework was for a 4l80, nothing would have been removed.

Section of harness from engine harness to tranny. Has a large round connector on engine end.

Harness is only partly installed. I crawled under my k5 in the mud feeling pretty dumb only to find that I was right. There is a section of harness missing. There certainly is no connector on the tranny matching the harness plug. I took a pic of the side of the tranny that has the connectors. Ok, back to the original question, does anyone have or know where I can buy this section?

See that grey round plug. That is the internal wire harness plug. It looks like it may have came apart on you. Those are known to rot out and leak over time.

There is no jumper. I looked at some repair kits and in their instructions it has the plug you have and it directs you to cut the wires coming from the main engine harness to splice them in.

If it were a jumper wire they would just sell a repair kit with 2 plugs on it.

All the 4l80 stuff I have looked at indicates there is no jumper.

I've looked around at stuff cause I have a 4l80 I need to rebuild. On my factory harness that plug goes straight to the transmission

You are correct...there is no intermediate connection between the 4L80E sensors and the engine harness. The 4L80E sensors are wired directly to the ECM/PCM through the firewall to the Tan PCM connectors. Is this a TBI retrofit with a stand alone harness, or is this a factory Original Equipment harness set-up?

4l80 needs big gray plug near the back of your pic pluged in with harness plug .

then if 2wd the 2 speed sensors on the side of the tranny 2 pin each plugs 1 near the front and 1 near the back in your pic there up near the top of the tranny . and the rear one looks like its part broken. . if 4wd the rear one will be the vss speedo plug on the transfercase.

the 2 plugs on the shifter shaft sensor are for 95-up dash indicator and vehicle p-n safety switch .

Thanx everybody! Guess I should have given the info with it. Donor vehicle was a 1997 c3500 with L29 and 4l80e 2wd. Said harness was converted standalone by Josh at team208motorsports along with performance tune on the computer. It's all getting installed in my 79 k5.

As I am reading everyone's responses, it sounds like I need to get an internal harness repair kit for the tranny? They seem to run about $70 at various places.

I'm still trying to understand what you think is missing? Based on the picture things are there. I see input speed, output speed and the trans plug. In the picture you put up of the round plug that goes to the trans plug, the round one on the side of the trans.

After reading all the responses I believe I need to replace the large plug coming out of the tranny.

The one in the tranny only has two flat tabs in it I thought. But after zooming in the pic I took I see the pins now. It was difficult to see while under the blazer. No, I haven't physically tried to connect the two yet. I will tomorrow and post back the results. I hope you are correct and I am just being an idiot about it. :-P

take 1 plug and 1 harness plug and let them have plug sex . . . . they will plug together just fine.

stop reading the internet and go play . . . we are NOT trying to give you the wrong info .

you are at the correct / best / nice forum for our trucks .
