Ok My work is having an aution this thursday and I should be able to get a donor gmc35 ( 76-80 maybe 73) that has an 14 bolt dually and a manual tranny "BUT" does anyone know what tranny might have been offered for a gmc 35 that is a stick shift ....The motor is a blown up 6 cyl. If that helps ...Also has anyone put in a dana 70 out of a(mid 75-84) dodge in there chevy any problems. They have 2 different trucks that I talked to my boss and he said that I should be able to get them very very very very cheap (like 25-50 bucks)

If it has a granny gear it would probably be the SM465. If the 73 has a granny it might be a SM420. Not sure what year they stopped with the 420 though.
