What is that manual tranny in front of 203? Is it SM465?

My bet is it's an NP435. The front axle, auto trans and trans crossmember appear to be Dodge so I'm betting the manual trans will follow suite.

Yeah, that's Ramcharger/Trailduster frame. Is that NP453 worth buying?

The NP435 is very similar to the SM465. The strength and gear ratios are very similar between the two.

It was used by Dodge and Ford quite a bit through the 70's and 80's (and by GM in a few rare cases).

Is it worth buying? That all depends. It is a good transmission, but it depends on what you need it for and how much it costs.

Ok, thanks. I may need manual tranny either to my Suburban project (DD), or to Blazer project (trailtoy/comp rig). Guy is selling everything you see on that pic, plus some small parts. $730, but I was thinking that I try to trade my Volvo car to those parts.

It has only marginally better 1st gear, and fitting to GM bellhousing takes some time. And if it's 435A, instead of 435L, it has 4.56 1st gear. Guess I won't bother.
