So the truck sits most of the time, every now and then after sitting for a long time I get a big leak under the truck of tranny fluid, otherwise the truck is dry as a bone. I never can seem to find this leak but my theory is the torque converter is draining back and causing a over flow condition

Any idea on this and or how to address the issue as it keeps staining the shit out of the cement drive way

Dry the trans off with brake parts cleaner. Spray around the trans from the pan gasket up with Aerosol Foot Powder. Let it sit a few days and you should be able to see the leak trail through the powder you laid down. What type of trans do you have?

Ive had the shifter shaft leak, pump seal, line fittings, extension housing, rear seal, etc. As Greg mentions, cleaning it thoroughly and then drive it, and check for leaks, if that don't show them, then use the talcum powder!
Don’t use a chrome pan, rather a heavy steel w a good flange or cast aluminum w a lubelocker gasket!

Can't you also get leaks from cracking the case in half?
