Put a new gasket in when i replaced the oil pan, so now i have a leak, what would be a good gasket, cork or the other type????

i have nothing but issues out of the cork tranny pan gasket ESPECIALLY if using a stock pan. if the pan is in great shape and you have tested its trueness then use the thick black one...I have had excellent luck with aluminum pans.

Did you properly clean the pan AND the bottom of tranny? And like posted is your pan tweaked or anything like that. Is it OEM pan or one of those bling chrome ones.

i put in an aluminum pan in my truck used both rubber and cork gaskets, both leaked, i had to get a steel rigged rubber one to get it to seal

maybee. i noticed tha the tube where the dipstick gois in is moist with oil, could it be that i have too much oil in the tranny??

what model trans ?

and where is it leaking ?

If it's leaking near the tail shaft where the transfer case bolts up,
the adapter bolts may be loose or the case may be cracked.

If it's near the front,,could be a front seal or the pump bolts or pump gasket is leaking..

On the sides,,could be a dipstick o-ring or a governor cover or servo cover o-ring leaking,,,,or a trans line or fitting loose.

Or the shaft where the gear selector shaft goes into the case,,,small seal there too...
