Tranny Mounts

i realized today my transmission mounts feel like oatmeal, and thats why my u joints keep breaking by the tcase. everytime i step on it, the mounts are gone, and the joints take the hit... they are super super super worn out! i bought new ones, 2 upper, 2 lower, and 1 other one. they guy at the parts store told me there was a 5th, i was looking and have no idea where the 5th one goes... any suggestions would help!

you may have a bracket that mounts on the side of the tcase and bolts to the frame, there is a mount (or 2) between the frame and that bracket. not all trucks came with those, only a few, mainly the older ones.

I have one for my 208... does that come stock on a 88 k5?


My mount is shot too for my 700... how much are the aftermarket tranny mounts......the ones with the urethane or somethin like that supposedly never wears out?

i didnt see anything between the tcase and frame... which side of the truck is it on?

my mounts... all 5 were 23.35, but i use a commercial discount because i work in a shop ... im not sure retail

the bracket is on the passenger side.... you will definetly know it if you see it. 2 big bolts and a bar going to the frame.
