Well i just got my tranny rebuilt about this time last year with a shift kit and stuff, well i just lost reverse today and last night i just got a nail in my 39 so this isnt a good snow time, well do you guys have any idea what could be wrong or things i can do to check it? it made a lil grinding sound then it stoped and nothing, i have all forward gears and park just no reverse

Sorry im just really pissed i miss that, its a 82 chevy K10 on a 76 frame, its a chevy 350 with a turbo 350 and prob 5 thousand miles on the rebuilt maybe less im not sure and the engine has about 35K on it and its a crate engine with some hop ups, the tranny has a B&M shift kit and i use it for offroad and my DD its on 38 by 18 mickey thompson and 4:56 gears, iv notice that the tranny really hasnt grab when i stomp on it and takes awhile to get up and go so most of the time i would just manually shift it.

well here are a few things..is there enough fluid in it? is it red like it is supposed to? is there any burn resin or anything showing some type of heat? you can take the pan down check for sludge and crap and check the magnet to see if there is any metal parts going wrong...change the filter while you are down there too..do you have a trans cooler and or temp. gauge to know if you were heating it up or anything?

Fluid if full, and if i dont recall didnt smell burnt, it has a B&M transcooler but no temp guage

im pretty sure the warranty is up on it, im gonna call and ask them about it today, it also has a B&M finned deep sump pan on it and cooler and shiftkit, would a incorrect kickdown cause it to loose reverse like that? sense the rebuild iv always notices the 2-3 shift was sloppy kinda like a negitive shift then it would shift but idk any more idea's guys, i also got a nail in my tires the day before, thank god it stopped leaking air out haha, i might just sell this K10 and buy a lifted K5 or build a K5
