Tranny Problems?

Well guys my tranny took a dump, I lost 3rd and reverse. After calling around I can get a new stock tranny for $1,100 installed with a 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty. Since money is tight after the holidays I want to save as much as possible. But before I put a stock tranny back in my 70 k5 I was wondering how much it would cost to upgrade to a tranny with OD and what else is involved besides just bolting it in. There is a better deal.
You can either get a rebuilt from shift management, even the new OD tranny is no more than $800, the Th 350 is $500 I think. Anyway look them up and call them, I just put a th400 from them, and they are good and cheap, I install in a couple of hours and you get a 18000 mile 18 month warranty.
