86 tranny and an 87 tranny.. i need to know if i can put my 86 tranny in my 87 truck.. i kno id have to swap TV cables and reasjust etc... but is this all?

yes you can swap trannies. Yes you will have to re adjust the TV cable.
I always make sure the ratcheting device works on it, I always lube mine up with some kind of spray lube, WD40 or something similar, push it all the way in, (with the engine off)
then go wide open throttle let the throttle pull the TV cable as far as it will, then let go of the throttle and then I always pull the TV cable exactly one more click out and leave it. this insures plenty of throttle pressure when up and downshifting occurs

ok that explains why when i shoved me TV cable all the way in and did the throttle and it didnt move.. i guess its stuck
