I just picked up my replacement(maybe)tranny/transfer case,I'm pulling out my 205/4spd trans out and replacing it with a 203 transfer case.my question how do I know what tranny it is..All I can see on it is a big C 3 on the bell housing..it is a automatice Do you think this switch will work any know problems with this switch?and I paid a 100.00 bucks for it and the says he will stand behind it.good deal bad deal?

Does the 203 have the parttime kit installed? The tranny is probably a th350 but can be a th400. The 205 is a better transfer case.

How can I figure out if its a 350 or a 400..why is the 205 better?

a 350 is a square pan with a corner cut off and a 400 is more like a texas shaped pan. the 205 is better because it is all gear and the 203 is a chain. they are about the same in strength but the 205 is more desirable. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
