Hi all i was just wondering what is the standard running gear for a 82 6.2D JIMMY as mine is running a TH350 and full time 4x4?. Am i wrong in thinking it should be running a 700R4 and a part time 4x4 and if thats the case am i better off or in the s--t. Living in the UK i dont have many people to compare with.The UK sucks big time(diesel is around the $8 a gallon mark)

Diesel K5's got the 700R-4 and NP208. Someone swapped the tranny and T-case into your truck...

You'd certainly get much better fuel mileage with the OD tranny than you do now.
