Tranny swap idea

Okay - here's an idea I got during a period of sleep deprivation. I have a '78 'Vette with a TH350, and a '91 Blazer with a 4L60. I've been wanting an OD tranny in the vette for cruising the highways, and I've read in some posts that the 4L60 is marginal for off-roading. How about swapping the two? Any opinions? Tech tips?

you would have to tear both trannys down and get new output shafts for both because the 4l60 you have is a 4x4 tranny
