In my buddies 4x4 s10 blazer. First off, I HATE SMALL TRUCKS! Gar :haha: There is absolutely NO room to use a wrench easily to unbolt the tranny.

It took us like 4hours to get the tranny ready to drop. We had been fightin the bellhousing bolts forever. Now we can't get the T-case shifter apart enough to let it drop down.

Im not sure whrether this is a Rant or an ask for help.:haha:

If it matters its a 89 s10 blazer 4.3 700r4 with a 231, and we are putting a new 700 in it.

And Bubba if your reading this, how is my spelling and gramar tonight?

I'm not sure that i am following your request. Do you mean the length of the tailshaft?

I have 2trannys, the 700r outof the s10 and a built 700r out of a k5.

I have a few questions.

1. swapping TV cables...how is this done? do i just unbolt it, drop the pan and then what?

2. Seeing as how each tranny came from diff motors/trucks they will work together correct?

3. The tranny goin in has sat for about 3months, we should atleast change the fluid/filter. Anything else?

The measurement I am looking for is the length that the tailshaft sticks out of the rear of the tailshaft housing on the trans that was bolted to the 231. It should either be about 1" or more likely 3-4". I am trying to determine if it has the same length tailshaft as the trans that came with 241.
