tranny swappin!!!

I was at the pick ur part yesterday and saw an 84 3/4 ton burban, the 350sb had already been yanked and dangling there in the empty engine compartment was a clean looking 700r4. The options list said "heavyduty transmision option" and "4 speed automatic" I've been thinking about swapping in a 4sp auto into my K30 with 4.56 and 35" tires and 6.2 diesel, would this be a good candidate???

no, if its the stock 84 tranny, its not heavy duty at all. not even as strong as the stock 87-92s are.

big83 is right, the "factory" upgrades were made in 87, so look for trannys from that year on up..
