Tranny/Transfer Swap Question

Need some help...I have a 73 K5 with auto trans set up. I want to switch to an SM465. A local guy here has a 82 GMC Blazer with SM465? and NP208. He says its an 80's 4 speed. He wants to switch to an auto so its easier for his wife to drive. Would everything interchange between the 73 and 82? I mainly am concerned about the transfer case mounts(same?)Drivelines etc.

I put a 4speed in my 84 K5 I had to lengthin the rear drive shaft and shorten the front. then you will have to add the pedals and cut the hole in the floor for the stick. but the only problems you should have will be driveshafts, and spedo cable may hook up on different side.

Thanks, I'm gonna check out his set-up this weekend, and he mine. Hopefully I can pull everthing out and swap next weekend. Thanx for the info~
