tranny what to use

got a 91 k1500 with a fragged 700r4.truck is all stock with a 5.7 350. should i just drop in another 700r4 or is there something else that will work or is better?Just want to bolt in and go dont want to have to change the t-case or the drive shafts all around.

the t350 or t400 are different lengths so thats out of the question if you don't want to get new drivelines, just get the 700 rebuilt, don't use overdrive much and make sure you got a tranny cooler and they will usually last a while. you can get heavy duty (I think corvette) servos put in also but then your startin to spnd money. Still gonna be costly getting the 700 rebuilt probably 600-800 dollars. lol

NO thats where you are wrong I did the 700R4 to TH350 swap in my 89 k1500 all you need is the 700R4 to TH350 tranny swap kit and a 4x4 K case. the kit comes with eveything you need to swap the tranny but we made it killer with redline race clutchs/ heavy duty sprag/ trans go shift kit/ B&M deep tranny pan and a draco 2500 stall. it bolted right up to my NP241 t case and has been barking all 3 gears with the 33in xterrains for 2 1/2 years. Fluid is still red and clean. but motor is starting to wear but i got a 400 small block in my garage for one day
