My 86 blazer 454 th350 14ff. With 4.10 keeps smoking front pump bushings, torque conv is 1800 to 22 stall speed, I do run pretty beefy oil cooler ,but don't know brand or specifics. Any recommendations?

The pump bushing that the torque converter rides on?
There should be very little clearance between the two, but you shouldn’t have to force it in either. Check for burrs on both surfaces and a light coating of Vaseline or assembly grease will provide lubrication on start up.

If it was overheating oil then clutches are usually the first to go.

Agreed with Zimmer, and check to see if the pump isn't mounted straight due to something being between the pump and the transmission housing surface

Trans have been rebuilt both times 2 different places and usually last 6 months and about 8k miles, this last time clutches were all good.

It was replaced both times, I just got off the phone with trans guy he said the torque converter has been discontinued, so he's given me a different brand ,this time, he said he doesn't think it was anything I did ,which made me happy
