Trans coolers?

They are almost the factory length, just follow them back from the radiator until you find a piece that is fairly straight, and cut it there, flare it and double clamp it. One of my friends did that and didnt even flare it and he didnt even have any problems. Unless the gas line is FI line I wouldnt try it, and even then I dont know if it would break down over time. I would recommend just gettin the tranny cooler hose.

Avery: when you bypass the radiator cooler, nothing will come out except a little old tranny fluid. Nothin will be goin through that loop.

I said the same thing...just in a different way. :)
I placed the order through Summit so I have a big trans cooler on the way...I think I'll put it in before I take the truck to AAMCO this week to have the tranny rebuilt. Then just have them hook it up w/ the new trans.

would prob work for ya, but you bein in cali and having a 700r4, Id prob go as large as possible. Just be careful when you mount it that you leave clearance for the hood latch.....I screwed up on that one lol. Noticed it as I was jumpin up & down on the hood tryin to get it to latch :doah:

thank god for jb weld!:haha: i didnt make any holes or anything in mine but it was a nice little dent and i put it on for insurance

I need a cooler BAD!!! I have a 700r4 and im running 38.5x16 TSLs with 4.10s.

I will order one soon but I also want a tranny temp gauge and a tranny filter.

What type of gauge should I get and how would I hook it up to have it inside the cab?

What filter kit should I get?

you just drill and tap a hole in the pan for the temp sending unit...thread it in and run it into the cab...
