I just gave three away, I didn't realize the one on the trans I just put in is bent, I called the wrecking yard and they want a 100 bucks...smokin crack, I was hoping someone on here can hook a brother up, I'll pick it up or pay for shipping. Thanks!

for my 82 k5 with a 400/205, was thinking of fabbing one, but a stock one will do it just as good

I have one, it should be the flat one for those years, and your adapter should have the long foot.
If so, $20 and it can come to your area for free if you can wait till the first week of august, Steve aka Olanchamedic will come up here and he can grab it and you guys can figure out how to meet.

A 400/205 in an '82 K5 will be a swapped in deal. They never came stock in this setup. Be aware of 2 different adaptor heigths so best thing to do is take a pic of the adaptor you have.

the cross member that was on the trans dips a little, I'm not sure because I have the diy4x mounts on the motor, but it looks as the foot on the adapter should be even with the bottom of the frame??? if you have one I give you some money for it, is Steve the guy that picked up that tpi that I sold to you?

yep same guy.
I will get you a pic of it

sounds good!
here is the pic. the crossmember does dip a bit to give room for the rubber mounts under the adapter so I believe it should work for you, it's the original th400 205 crossmember with tall adapter.

you never answered my questions .

there is 2 flat cross mebers in the old style. deep dip for 1/2 and 3/4 ton frames with tall adaptor.

then short dip for true 1ton frames with tall adaptor as the 1ton frame was 2" taller basicly in the hight were the crossmember bolted up.

you get the wrong one it will drop the combo to much or raise it in to the floor.

just a heads up for you and any others later searching.

I'm pretty sure thats the right one, I'm going to post a pic of my adapter and see what you guys think, do you want me to send you some cash paypal? or just give it to Steve when he comes, I need to find out when that is too, last time I met him at bass pro off the 15, do you know if thats where he'll be driving by?

if tall adaptor its flat member.

if short adaptor its "w" shaped member.

but have to know what frame its going in for it to fit correctly . like i said look almost exactly the same but diffrent overall hight to match the frame hight is all.

just tell us what adaptor or show us. then what frame is it going in is all we need.

He's putting it on a K5 so mine will work, it came from a 3/4 ton truck.

I don't know when he will come down, but he will be up here first week of august if you can wait that long and you can just give him the money or send me paypal, no problem either way.

o.k. just making sure .

Well, I have yet to sell a wrong part, I try to make sure the buyer knows what they are looking for.
Sometimes I check so much that someone else jumps in and cuts a deal before I can confirm and I lose the sale :doah:
