pretty sure I installed my trans crossmember upside down when I changed the motor trans and TC. Seems to be working, but not sure what I could have affected.

Worth swapping?

I have an energy suspension mount in there. It fit pretty perfect. Any problems with leaving it this way? Wondered if it had pushed the driveline up too far. Does the crossmember sit on the frame or bolt up below?

bolts up below. GM used the outer bolt holes with spacers in between the rail and crossmember.

Are you running a tall adapter (1984 or older)? Seems very odd to me that the 1985+ mount would be anywhere near tall enough to sit inside the crossmember and put the adapter feet anywhere near the right location. But from that picture, it looks about right!

Everything I can envision in my head as to parts alignment/fitment/construction says that shouldn't work lol.

I am not. I am running a 4L65e plus adapter to a 241c. I just went and flipped it. Does sit better and the holes line up somewhat. I will have to drill one of them, but the trans adapter is 5 inches long, quite a bit longer than what was in their previously.

I pulled the transfer case flange over about half an inch to get it centered in the frame to. 18.5" side to side inside frame

I also get to run my stock skid now too. I was going to click the case but have heard too many issues of leaking
