I swapped a TH400 into my K5 nearly 20 years ago. While doing some fuel routing it struck me that the cooling lines from the trans to the radiator are hard lines all the way. In every other instance, it seems to be common practice to have at least a small piece of rubber when going from engine to frame, to allow for vibration and twisting of the motor. Is it common practice to have all hard line like this, or did the installer cut a corner?

I believe hardline throughout is factory and the rubber is usually repairs. I'm guilty of that shortcut myself. Measuring and bending hardline from fitting to fitting can be a real pain.

the lines are long enough and with several bends in them, they actually move and flex pretty well as they are.
