trans pan leaking

Well I think I am leaking from in between the trans and the adaptor, is there a gasket that goes in there? Don't remember if I put it in or not. This sucks now I have to pull the t-case again.

There's a gasket there but it doesn't really hold fluid in, just keeps crud out.

The leak is probably the output shaft seal from the tranny or the input shaft seal from the t-case.

what kind of trans is this? because the 400's are open in the back where the spline shaft is at and if that gasket is bad you will get an atf leak there. I have a leak between my 400/205 and Im not too excited about dropping that 205 again. on the 700's there is just a rubber o-ring that goes between the back of the case to adapter surface, and if its leaking there then like previously mentioned its more than likely one of the input/output shaft seals.
